Product Description

The Spear and Jackson Post Hole Auger is a manual ground drilling tool designed for creating straight-sided holes for fence posts, signs and garden structures. This robust hand auger features a carbon steel corkscrew head that cuts cleanly through soil to produce neat 155mm (6") diameter holes, ideal for standard wooden fence posts and similar applications. Built for durability and ease of use, the auger combines a tubular steel T-bar construction with a 410mm (16") wide wooden handle that provides excellent leverage for generating the torque needed to penetrate compacted ground. The hardened tip ensures easier initial penetration, reducing the effort required to start each hole. With an overall length of 1105mm (43"), this post hole auger offers a practical working depth of 380mm (15"), making it well-suited for typical fencing projects where posts need secure foundations. The manual operation gives you precise control over hole depth and allows work in locations where powered equipment isn't practical or available. Features and Benefits: • Tubular steel T bar for strength and durability • Carbon steel cork screw head is used for creating straight sided post holes in the ground • 410mm(16") wide wooden handle to help generate plenty of torque • Hardened tip for easier initial penetration into the ground Specifications: Hole Diameter: 155mm (6") Auger Length: 380mm (15") Overall Length: 1105mm (43") Handle Width: 410mm (16")
